A production rate factor (0-100%) can be applied for each resource within the Gantt or on a period-by-period basis within the Resources tab.
The applied production rate differs on where it is set:
If set from the Gantt, the production rate is applied to all the Resources tasks at the rate that is entered in the Rate field.
If set from the Resources tab (for period by period rates) the production rate that is applied during a period for a resource is determined by the following expression: Production Rate (as defined in XECUTE Config) x Activity Area Rate Factor (as set in Activity Area radial menu > Update Rate Factor) x Period Override value.
To override a Resource rate in the Gantt, click the production rate value to edit it. When this value is changed, all the rate factors remain in place but the rate, as seen by the scheduling engine, will be the one entered in the Gantt chart.
A custom rate is marked with a chevron.
To remove the custom production rate and set it back to the default, double-click the cell and click the backspace key to remove the value. Clicking away from the cell will restore the default value.
A production rate factor (0-100%) can be applied for each resource on a period-by-period basis - the Period Override.
A Resource Period Override rate factor is entered in the Resources tab. Changing a rate from the default value will cause the cell background to appear in orange, see image below.
If the site setting Reduce production to achieve blend is enabled, (see XECUTE Config > Site configuration) and the Resource is configured to enable variable dig rates (see XECUTE Config > System Configuration > Resources), Product Optimiser will reduce the rate to achieve blend targets. The minimum rate at which that the Resource can operate at is set in XECUTE Config and defaults to 50%. These values can also be overridden for a Resource within the Resources tab in a similar manor as the Production rate overrides.
The Minimum Rate row only appears for a Resource when Reduce production to achieve blend is enabled in XECUTE Config.
Production factors for rehandle groups can be set in the Resources tab. To view rehandle group production rate factors the rehandle group must first be created in the Material flow diagram and the Resource must be allowed to conduct rehandle operations.
Once the rehandle groups are created they appear under each resource where their respective production rate factor can be set.
